Hectic days

It has been a while not writing anything in this very important and infamous blog. Harharhar..
Since the last time I wrote something in this blog, the world has surely changed with all this financial crisis happening in many countries.

Last week, the campus was having a bazaar. It was fun and interesting to see many people trying to sell their products: food, drinks, etc. But with not many people buying. It created a real traditional market situation when the buyers are buying from other buyers. Barter was in the action.

On the occassion, I was mainly into helping the committee in making sure all the process run well. In the end, I helped the cashiers more often. Well, basically their task is to swap real money with our fake money aka vouchers. The vouchers are used for people buying and selling.

At the closing period, we all need to recalculate the vouchers going in and out, cross checking it with the money on hand. It was as hectic as hell coz I am not really good with details. Luckily, the cashiers were good. They manage to finish the calculation in a short time. If it were left to me, it could last the whole night.

Anyway, I am left with this money and vouchers now. Some of the stands have not exchange their vouchers. Hopefully they do it by today. Otherwise, I will be tempted to use the money, since I am broke. I have less than 20,000 rupiah in my pocket, about 100,000 rupiah in my account (but I cant take it because of the silly rule from the bank). Worst, I just received a formal letter from my boss saying that my salary will only be transferred, on 31st oct, which means it will arrive in my bank on 1st Nov.

Danggg…!

Yesterday..

This is hilarious…. A remake for the song ‘yesterday’ by The Beatles.

If your system crash, your data is gone, sing this song.. it may soothe you a lil tiny bit.

———–

YESTERDAY – by Computer Geeks

Yesterday,
All those back-ups seemed a waste of pay, Now my database has gone away, Oh I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly,
There’s not half the files there used to be, And there’s a milestone hanging over me
The system crashed so suddenly.
I pushed something wrong
What it was I could not say,

Now all my data’s gone
And I long for yesterday-ay-ay-ay.

Yesterday,
The need for back-ups seemed so far away. I knew my data was all here
to stay,

Now I believe in yesterday.
